- Originates at the Sinoatrial Node, or pacemaker, located in the right atrium.
- The action potential moves acroos the atria and down the the atrioventricular node (AV node) and atrial contraction occurs.
- Signal then moves to the Purkinjie fibers, located within the ventricular walls, causing ventricular contraction.
